Serial number management in Equipments

Hi Friends,

 

My requirement is "I received a serialized material from warehouse,then system should prompt me for the serial number,i entered it and save, then Equipment record is created,the classification from the material is copied into the Equipment (Create Equipment with reference to the material master record)

can we do it in standard configuration,if yes please provide me the configuration document.

Effect of Completion Requirement on Maintenance Calls

Hi All,

 

With reference to following thread I wanted just a confirmation what i understood is correct or not

If Plan is monthly starting from 01/10/2013 and completion requirement is ticked

after scheduling the work order is closed lets say on 10/10/2013 in dthis case when will be next plan will scheule

on 01/11/2013 or 10/11/2013.

Delete Permit Assignment

Hi experts,

My client wants to use permits in Maintenance orders. There are few points given under

  • Permit should not be assigned through classification.
  • Permits can be assigned by any person ( group).
  • But permit can not be deleted by all persons or even person who have assigned the same.
  • Only certain group or persons can delete the permit assignment.

* we are not using classification and nor even object based permit assignment. Permits should be assigned manually only.

Hi Experts,

 

I have few basic questions on SAP MRS

 

1.  Can we use 3rd Party application for demands if yes then how can these demands go to SAP MRS and Vice Versa ?

      (Background :we don't use SAP PM,PS,CS, or SAP CRM we use our own developed application for order generation)

 

2.  Can we get the list of resources for given month without demands ? which t-code ?

 

3. Whether MRS support mobile interface (After scheduling orders need to be sent to technician's PDA)

 

4. Is it possible to have fixed assignment ? (For example a high priority order once the scheduler schedules it should not be altered)

COGI-Non editable entries

Hi,

 

In COGI I find some non-editable greyed out PM SKU entries which are traced back to PM orders. But the 261 Goods movement date does not match with the COGI date. How can these be removed without disturbing the PM order cost?

Impact of priorities in order.

Dear Team,

 

I am little confused regarding on which dates the priorities of orders are impacting. I know the notification start date and end date will impact for notifications based on the priorities. Please guide me in this regard.

check list in work order operation

Greetings,

 

We are using SAP ECC6 EHP4;

Currently, check list is maintained in document and that is attached in task list screen under PRT.
Whenever work order is created for that task list through Maintenance plan, this document would be populated in wok order under operation PRT tab.

 

Now I have new requirement from business to bring actual check list in opertaion of work order. This is to avoid paper.


SDN links suggetsed to do as follows;


Create Measuring points
Assign Measuring points as a PRT to task list
Create Catalog profile with Valuation code (e.g OK, Not OK etc)
Create plan and assign task list
Generate Maintenance order.
Pass valuation code in measuring document.

 

Please suggest in this regard in detail what need to be done in each step.

After deadline monitoring work orders generated for previous day

Dear Experts,

 

When I am running deadline monitoring report (ip30) , I have observed that previous date(basic start date) work orders been generated. Please help me to investigate reason behind this . (when i saw report in IW39 by giving  created on date  as 5/12/2013 , i found that 4 orders were generated having basic start date 3/11/2013 and 6/11/2013)

 

Hints :

Plan is strategy plan (2 weekly)

call horizon is 50%

"Completion requirement " check box is marked.

Regarding Maintenance Plans

Hello Gurus,

 

When i schedule a plan, Orders are generated on call dates Is there any way to generate orders not on call date but on a particular day in a week or month.

 

For Example I had a plan1 for which call date is on Monday and for plan2 call date is on Tuesday but i need both these orders to be created on Wednesday irrespective of call dates.Please suggest me a way how to achieve this.

Serial number after Scrap

Hi

 

I want to scrap stock of serialized  material and after scrapping i want to either change status of serial number to inactive automatically.

 

How it could be done through configuration?

 

 

Or if i used user status then how to make user status active automatically after scrapping.

PM Order View profile

Hi,

 

Users have activated Alternative labelling for Floc's.

 

After using the system for 3 years, they requested a new PM Order layout.

 

I configured and assigned the new View profile and when new orders are created it works fine however, all existing orders where the Floc has more than 30 characters, now gives an error message that the floc does not exist - ie the Alternative floc label is truncated.

 

I have changed the Ref Object on the Order Definition from 120 to O100 and also tried removing it, but this did not change.

 

It appears that the system stores the Order layout somewhere with the transactional data.

 

How do I correct it so that historic orders use the current view profile correctly?

Field selection PM order header: planner group mandatory for combination of planning plant & order type?

Dear PM colleagues,

 

is it possible to set up the field selection in the PM order header in a way, that the field "planner group" is mandatory

for a certain combination of "planning plant" and "order type"?

 

My interpretation of the field selection customizing is, that it's only possible to have one influencing criteria for a field.

 

Did I miss something or is it really only possible to 1 influencing field for the planner group?

Hi WCM Experts

 

I've created Work Approval with T code WCTA, from that i created application and save the entries.

 

in System; I've created applications as Cold Work Permit, Hot Work Permit, Height Work Permit etc.

 

But when i click on "Set as Prepared"; status change is not happening from CRTE to PREP in application(WCTH).

 

 

Error coming is : "Function is not permitted"

 

Message no. I4220

 

 

Please advise.

Equipment wise classification in platinum, gold & silver categories on basis of  SAP Based MTBF (Auto Changing Classification )

On the basis of time the system will automatically changes its classification in equipment master from SO70 table

 

silver >10000 hr

gold >20000 hr

platinum>30000 hr

function location should contain

 

1. Place

 

2. Location

 

3. Type: ( Hydrant or extinguisher)

 

4. Identification no.

 

and also when and at what stage ( no.1 or no. 4 )  i need to attach specific equipment.
