Flagging individual entries in EQUZ with a deletion indicator

Hi SAP Experts

Please assist with thefollowing if possible

if i may explain

when an equipement is assigned to a contract / functionalo locatin we allocate the contract number as our tplnr effectively

now there are case where the user may make the following mistakes :

1. put the equipment on contract at the incorrect date

2. put the equiipment on the incorrect contract / functional location

 

i have played around with the dismantle . re install functionality but i run into the following problem

- obvioulsy i can only work with the last allocation when performing dismantle / re install

with regards to the table affected by the scenario above , i am wanting to know if i can do the correction of the incorrect location / contract assignemnt with the standard dismantle / re instal functionality , i in this case would like to then flag the previous (incorrect) assignemnt in table EQUZ as incorrect/ deleted so that when we do an extract or table read on EQUZ i can then not take that record entry into consideration

 

as for the date / time stamps i imagine we cannot change these value at all

 

so i think my question is that when performing the dismantle and re-install process is there a way i can flag the entry for the dismantle with a deletion indicator

Work center capacity category change

Hi

 

I am trying to change work center capacity category say A to B. I took the list of open order operations via IW37N giving filter for TECO, DLT,DLFL and CLSD.

 

I unchecked the "Indicator: Calculate capacity requirements" from all orders and saved.

 

Now added a new capacity category B in the work center and assigned the new category for scheduling.

 

Now when i try to delete the old capacity category A, system throws an error message " Capacity is still being used". I checked the list of orders etc, i have unchecked for every thing.

 

Can any one help to find out a solution for the same ? Share your ideas on how you changed the capacity category in work center. is there any another way to change capacity category.

Dear All,

 

Anyone please guide me through the following scenario I am facing.

 

We carry out Annual Turnarounds each year for annual maintenance / overhauling of our equipment / machines.

The total numbers of maintenance jobs are around 1500. Each Job has an average 25 Operations. The Total duration of Turnaround is 15 Days max. Due to extensive number of jobs being handled in a very short time span, we require Planning with respect Job Execution and also related to material planning / Manpower / other internal & external services resource Planning. Moreover the Budget planning / control of the Turnaround is also part of our business.

The Planning of Turnaround starts 10 months before commencement of Turnaround. Starting from finalization of maintenance Jobs, material reservations, Budget Planning, Maintenance jobs scheduling in such a way to fit in all jobs within 15 days time span and develop a logical / technical viable links (relationship) between various operations within one job as well as between different jobs. Based on this relationship critical path is identified and activity Bar Chart is generated. The entire planned Project is then freeze as our target / base line and Planned S-Curve is generated. Before commencement of Turnaround, the material availability is ensured through monitoring of material procurement from Purchase requisition to Goods receipt.

Thereafter during Turnaround, the actual progress of maintenance jobs is monitored against the target plan on 12 hourly basis. Based on this monitoring we identify the activities lagging behind the Plan so that effective actions may be taken to expedite job progress. The daily progress is updated in terms of earned progress percentage.

We are experiencing difficulty in incorporating work progress in terms of percentages while doing confirmations. How can we confirm our operations / activities in percentage rather than in hours format??

Please refer following example:

- An operation is planned for 100 hours.

- During execution, 50% job completed in 20hours.

- Remaining duration should appear as 50hours not as 80hours.

 

Can anybody suggest a solution in either PM,PS or combination of both modules.

PRTs as Equipment Assignment on Maintenance Order Operation

Hi,

 

I want to hide some fields in equipment master data PRT tab for example "Task list usage". Where these settings are available ?

 

If an equipment as PRT is planned on maintenance order operation with its usage value in hours (same as operation unit) then that PRT should not be assigned on any other maintenance order operation during the time / schedule planned on previous order operation.

How it can be possible? if it can be tackle through availability check so how ?

What a big master data means?

Hello experts,

Can you please share what means for you a large volume of master data in SAP PM?
I am involved in a project at this moments and the client is asking to create around 35 millions pieces of equip., 35 mil. functional location, 1 billion measurement points, 1 mil. task list.....

Do you think SAP can handle this amount of data? System performance it will be really bad affected?

What was the highest number of Technical Objects that you defined in your actual/previous projects?

 

I will also rise a ticket to SAP and I will share with you their answer.

Over the years many User Statuses were added to our system which are not related to the work process.  They are used to create lists of work for internal and external initiatives (i.e. Housekeeping, Cost Improvement, Quality, Environmental Improvement, Fire Protection etc)  There is a persistent demand from users for new Statuses for new ways to collect work into buckets.  Many users have also created lists by creating Revisions which have nothing to do with work dates.

 

What is the best way in SAP to meet this need for special lists, and not misuse the User Status and the Revision functionality?

Material reservation deleted into maintenance order

Dear,

 

I'm facing with strange issue with some maintenance order... The users have created some maintenance order, done material reservation and released these order... After that they are trying change these materials reservation and then when they go until the reservation they can see the material with status "item is deleted".

 

However no changes was done these reservation. The components items is maintaned with gray scale.

How the Planned Cycle/Offset calculated for strategy Plan?

Dear All,

 

I am little bit confused on How the Planned Cycle / Offset is getting calculated for a call item for strategy based plan.

 

Example : I have created a strategy plan with frequencies 1M & 1 Y for months it is calculated perfectly but when i am trying to see the Year call it is showing a Planned by/Offset of ( + 5 days for 1st 1Y call , +10 days for 2 nd 1Y call.....). Attached the screen shots.

 

How it is calculating the Planned Cycle / Offset in scheduling?

User Status for PM Order

Hi everybody,

I have created a user status for PM orders. the problem is when Order status in CNF ( confirmed ) and I use IW45 to cancel confirmation, the user status doesn't change to Release and still remain CNF. I couldn't find any business transaction for that.

what do you do for such case?

Hi,

 

I am doing retirement of asset without customer in ABAON, My asset depreciation value is showing more, how to make the depreciation amount less

 

ex actual depreciation 900 but posted depreciation 1000 how to make the adjustment without changing depreciation key.

Dear experts,

I have one user requirement for car maintenance, For capturing the information about movement of Car & its
Maintenance Cost should be mapped in SAP-Plant Maintenance Module. Company
Owned car is being utilized for office & Personal Use. All personal usages
of Company owned car being debited from Employee salary during payroll process
& data is being maintained in excel sheet.

 

 

Can any one advice me how to proceed with this requirement.

System time by Default.

Dear All,

 

We are using the system which running from USA the system time is US time. As i am creating the order it is getting creating with US time but not with indian time. And in my id in default tab i maintained India time Zone only. But still why system is behaving like that. Is there any other settings need to be done.
