Notification number not active/greyed out in IW33.

Hello Gurus,

 

Need your kind help with this.

 

The highlighted icon is greyed out in transaction: IW33 for a particular service order type but is not greyed out for another sales document type.

We have already tried to implement 2 notes to rectify this issue but the system was unable to implement them.

 

Notes:

1293518 - PM/CS : Missing buttons in Basic Order View

1405029 - EAM order: Pushbuttons are inactive


Could anyone provide an alternate note or solution for this issue?


Kindly route this post to any other relevant forum if deemed necessary.

Problem creating a Work Approval from IW32

Dear colleagues,

 

I can create a Work Approval from WSR8 with a reference to the PM order, but that does not link my Work Approval to the PM order.

 

It should be possible to create Work Approval directly in IW32, but there is no such option on the screen.

 

What customizing should I check?

maintenance plan doubt

Hi all,

can any one tell me about shift factor late completion and early completion in maintenance plan please elaborate with example what i know is when we use shift factor based on percentage   it will generate call object from that date on wards suppose if i take moth as a cycle my call date is 11.06.2015 if i take 20% in shift factor we can do maintenance on 17.06.2015 but next call object will be next 17.07.2015.

      waiting for early response.

Master Task List Creation

We would like to create a Master Task List at a Global Planning Plant level but how will we accommodate Work centers at the Golden Plant Level so that we can use the master task lists across all maintenance plants?

Hi Friends,

 

Please let me know how can we create units of measurements for "YES" and "NO" (I have this kind of requiremnt)

is this the same way how we are creating for other units of measurements (temparature,RPM,Ohm,...).through CUNI t.code.

any suggestions?

Mandatory field in work center

Hi experts,

When we create a new work center there should always be a cost center in the "Costing" tab and it is a mandatory field, but the strange thing are that if you not are open the "Costing" tab then you can save the new workcenter without any cost center !! The answer from SAP are that this is "normal" behaviour.

Does anyone of you experts know if there are a way to always have the cost center mandatory, you can´t save without cost center even if you not have open the "Costing" tab ?

User Exit for performance based plans to trigger a WO based on Measuring Document

Dear Gurus,

 

Could you please let us know if there is any exit available for the performance based plans.

 

How system is functioning now

 

Based on Annual estimate and counter start reading systems is calculating number of calls and planned date for each call.

Even if the Equipment is idle for a period of time, system still setting SAVE TO CALL status on the call based on the planned date.

 

 

My requirement :

 

I want my performance based plans to generate a Work order based on my measuring document irrespective of the planned date.

Outsourcing of Assets/Equipment for Maintenance.

Hi

 

The scenario is client want to outsource some of the maintenance activities to external vendors , all the Assets are in SAP and all the maintenance is carried out in SAP . There are different instances running in the client landscape with multiple languages and multiple time zone .

Now these external vendors already have their  EAM  systems ( non - SAP )  ,  in  which they will maintain the Assets.

Client want majority of the activities that will carried out in external systems to reflect back in SAP .

Has anyone come across this  scenario .  All  inputs , ideas are welcome  .

I want to configure mailing process for the preventive maintenance.User want to get the mail of notification that this notification is due for this month as per the maintenance plan.

Maintenance plan scheduling: IP30 interval call objects vs. call horizon

Dear colleagues,

 

I have a problem with the maitnenance plan (with strategy) scheduling and can't explain the behavior.

 

 

Scenario:

Strategy plan has 3 packages: 2, 4 and 12 months

call horizon is 50%

IP30 deadline monitoring job has as "interval for call objects" 30 days

Scheduling indicator: time - key date

 

Problem:

Call number 18 (2 month package) was called on 06.08.2015 - normally the calculated call date should have been the 05.09.2015.

 

Questions:

Which setting has priority and gets effective - the call horizon from maintenance plan or the IP30 interval for call objects?

Is there any explanation why orders from call number 18 were called 1 month earlier than calculated call date?

Basic Finish date in Released order changes to reservation date

Hi All,

SAP changes the Basic Start Date and Basic Finish date to today’s date whenever a material reservation is made through the work order.

 

 

 

 

 

So if I add a component and save it, the dates are changed to today’s date.

 

Please suggest how can we restrict the change in Basic finish date to desired future date.

 

 

We have unchecked the auto-scheduling button.

User exit for SAP Notification Tasks - IW21/IW22?

Hello,

 

I wanted to know which user exit should I use for my below requirement.

 

Whenever the Task's in notification set to complete, I should raise a pop-up a text editor (sub-screen maybe?) and on clicking enter save the message to the Long-text in the corresponding task. I would like to know which user exit I'm suppose to use this. Apologize if this question been asked many times, I did my search ,but couldn't able to find anything, hence posted the question.

Time - key date Scheduling Indicator in Maintenance Plan

Hi All -

 

What is the purpose of assigning a Factory Calendar (as a required field) when we choose the 'Time-key date' indicator in a Maintenance Plan? It seems that the system will schedule a Preventive Maintenance order on a Sat/Sunday/holiday if we don't have a Factory Calendar assigned in the associated Work Center. I would assume that, even if we don't a Factory Calendar assigned in the Work Center, the system would not schedule an order on a Sat/Sunday/holiday because the Factory Calendar is assigned in the Maintenance Plan itself.

Strategy Plan skipping WO creation (SAP-PM)

Hello Members,

 

I have created a Strategy Maintenance plan with start of cycle 10/30/2014 (mm/dd/yyyy).

I am expecting the first WO to be due 6 months after the Start of cycle, so it should be due 4/30/2015.

However when I see all the WO's using IP10, looks like the very first WO system is creating is due 10/30/2015.

I dont understand why is system skipping the WO creation on 4/30/2015. Can you please explain.

Factory Calendar with Time-Key Date Scheduling Indicator

My understanding is that when we create a Maintenance Plan with Scheduling Indicator 'Time - key date' assigned, the Preventive Maintenance order will always be scheduled on the same date of every month. However, our SAP system is requiring entry of a Factory calendar when we choose the Time key-date indicator. Can anyone explain the reason for this behavior? Our requirement is that Preventive Maintenance orders are scheduled as close to the 1st of every month as possible, but we don't want orders to be scheduled on non-working days. So, if the 1st of a month happens to fall on a Sunday, the system will schedule the order for Monday the 2nd instead.

Serialized Equipment AVLB status to ESTO

"Ideally While installation IE4N system issue the serialized equipment from store with status ESTO in warehouse and after installation system status of serialized equipment changes to ASEQ and stock is reduced simultaneously.

In case of dismantle IE4N serialized equipment change status from ASEQ to ESTO and the stock is updated in warehouse.".  this is the ideal case and generally the same happens.


But Now while dismantle serialized equipment status is showing AVLB from ASEQ while it should be ESTO and its not updated in stock in warehouse.

So Please help how this system status can be changed to ESTO and update stock accordingly.
