Limiting settlement type to PER

I want to limit settlement rule created for a work order only to one line item and settlement type to. periodic settlement. I went to settlement profile configuration, and put '1' in 'Max. no. dist. rls'. Then, when I created a work order, the settlment rule is defaulting the settlement type to 'FUL' settlement.

Is there a way I can default this to only PER i.e. periodic settlement.
