SAP PM System Transfer to Another Business Entity

Dear gurus

 

I worked for a franchise-based maintenance organisation with an SAP PM installation. The SAP system implementation was paid for by our client based on our recommendations. We also implemented and have maintained the system to date. consequently, the PM maintenance organisation structure reflects our company as a business entity.


Following unsuccessful franchise re-bid, the incumbent must now transfer all business operations and maintenance activity to a new business entity. The transfer will cover all assets including the SAP PM system - hardware, software, business procesess and data.

 

I don't really have any experience of this type of scenario, so not sure about the processes involved to execute the transfer successfully.

It's clear to me that the following will be necessary:

 

1. Entering into a new contract agreement with SAP;


2. creating a new organisational structure;


3. Acquiring new user licences.

 

Has anyone been in my kind of situation before or have ideas about the processes involved?

 

I'll be grateful for any input however minimal.
